Labor Day Celebration!

Even thanks to Hurricane Harvey’s unexpected delays, Labor Day is never ignored in Texas! Come celebrate the working men and women of Texas at this old-fashioned Labor Day celebration. Lively music, bouncehouses, games, and political speakers are sure to highlight some downhome Texas BBQ. Lunch plates served at a reasonable cost.

Ballot Signatures

The filing fee to get a candidate’s name on the Democratic Party Primary Ballot for Texas House of Representatives is $750, but that fee is waived if a candidate can secure at least 500 petition signatures instead. If you’re a registered voter who lives in District 14, and wish to help get a progressive voice on the ballot, I will be at Murphy’s Law on First Friday to talk and collect signatures. I hope to see you all there.
